3 Letters
In this artwork shows a 3 well more like 4 letters since I wanted to add it for design. Each of these letters represent different types of classifications. These classifications contains Bodoni (Modern), Rockwell (Slab Serif), Baskerville (Transitional). The "g" is Bodoni (Modern) which gives more of a modernized style compared to old style fonts. This was designed in the late 18th century and frequently revived since. For the "A" I decided to go with a Rockwell (Slab Serif) classification in order to to fill in majority of the spaces. This classification is close to Sans Serifs in their construction, including their generally low stroke contrast, but possessing serifs that match the overall stroke. Lastly for both uppercase (P) and lowercase (p) I designed it to be Baskerville (Transitional). John Baskerville, an English merchant most known for being a printer and type designer, created this classification. A font called Baskerville (transitional) was developed to enhance the prior style. Now with that being said, I while coming up with the letters to use, I came up with the word "GAP" which is ironical since in this design there aren't any gap and more like they're overlapping each other. Fun fact, I forgot that it was supposed to be 2 lowercase and 1 uppercase, but instead I made the mistake into having 2 uppercase and 1 lowercase so I had to improvise into which it will still be okay to fix the mistake. I probably could've made it a little better with making the right proportions.
looks very nice and well done i like the 2 p p
ReplyDeletewow look so cool and complex
ReplyDeleteI love the diversity in the fonts along with the PP. I wouldn't change much about it other than the proportions. 10/10
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure this is copyrighted. But good work on your art. I understand the irony because there's no gap between the letters. The A looks stretched our and some lines aren't straight.

ReplyDeleteThe letter G and P do resemble the model, but the A should be less thick to match the model. The lines used are very clearly and precise, so good job on that aspect. Next time match the letter A with the other letters so it can look accurate, overall it's good.
